Submit Bug Report: A new feature added in Eclipse v3.0.0, “Submit Bug Report”, allows users to report a problem and additionally, request troubleshooting support, under two circumstances:

A. Submit a Report (Errors Detected)
The user encounters a problem that is detected by the app and an error log is generated. The user will have the option to report the problem, request support, and upload the error logs for analysis.

1. Go to the “Settings” page.
2. Select “Submit Bug Report”


3. From the “Select a Category” drop down menu, select from the following choices: “App Crash”, “Cannot Connect to VPN”, “Proxy Setup Problems”, or “Other Issue”.

4. In the “Describe Problem” window, enter a brief description (max 500 characters).


5. The user may request a response from the Eclipse support team. This is completely voluntary! If you require a response, Select the “Response Requested” button, and enter an email address in the “Email” window.
6. The “Upload Error Log” button will be selected by default. It will also show the number of errors encountered. If you do not want to upload the error logs along with your report, de-select this button.
7. Click on “REVIEW REPORT”.

8. On the “Review Report” page, a summary of the report that will be sent to the support team will be displayed for your approval before actually uploading it.
9. If you did not select “Upload Error Log” the summary will include the following categories: “METADATA”, and “DESCRIPTION” (the description you entered). If you selected “Upload Error Log”, additional categories will be included: “ERRORS”, “LOGS”, “STACK TRACE”. Use the drop down button for each category to view the actual information that will be uploaded.
10. For more information on these categories, click on the question mark at the top left corner of the screen.
11. After reviewing the report, if you still want to upload the report, click on “SEND REPORT”.
At any time during the upload process you can choose to cancel the upload by clicking on the “Cancel” button at the bottom of the screen. No reports will be uploaded.

12. You will receive a status message on the success or failure to upload the report.

B. Submit a Report (No errors Detected)
The user encounters a problem that is not detected by the app and an error log is not generated. The user will have the option to report the problem and request support.
1. Go to the “Settings” page.
2. Select “Submit Bug Report”. Since no error have been detected by the app you will receive the following message:

3. To continue, click on “OK”.
4. Follow the same steps as in section 1, above. Keep in mind there will be no logs to upload.
